Amazing master-classes from Denise Crolle-Terzaghi

Published at www.artdekor.blogspot.com 17.11.09

I was lucky to become a party to the three-day master-classes of the amazing designer from France Denise Crolle-Terzaghi (www.crolle-terzaghi.com).
The master classes were fantastically interesting and replete with a lot of techniques!
I examined different ways of greening imitation at flat and three-dimensional surfaces, using both oxidants, and acrylic paints. Thanks to Denise I had a fresh look at the already known materials, examined ways of scrapbooking (embossing and stamps), discovered Fluidin - very vivid ink, a technique of lapis-lazuli, and many more different techniques and tricks!

Mad creative atmosphere still rages in me!
I love these master classes because they remove frameworks and give courage to the charge of creative experimentation and ideas.
During the break Denise even shared with us about her hippy past:)
Very interesting person! And very positive!

The Casket

Published at www.artdekor.blogspot.com 19.10.09

Well, I did
that I had not yet done and I can’t stop looking:)
…photographed from different angles – due to the used paints the light falls differently. I wanted to show all the brilliance and depth!

Painted on a thin synthetic fabric.
The idea has changed many times while drawing.
And eventually became so, as you see it:

Painting on fabric

Here's a free-style painting on fabric - preparing a sample to a master class:

I was conquered with an easier way to create a work of "batik" style. And I certainly have to share this technique at my master classes! A huge advantage of the new approach is that you can decorate the finished product (shirts, skirts - whatever you like), while a classical technique does not allow this.

I'll share the secrets of painting on fabric in the next two Saturdays (10/10/2009 and 10/17/2009) in the Antresol art-cafe!

Craquelure pictures

My almost recent work - already have cracks :)

It's my pleasure to invite you at my author's master class, which will be held at the art-cafe "Antresol" this Saturday (10/05/2009) at 11.30.

I'll teach this original technique:

Chair's story :)

Published at http://artdekor.blogspot.com/ 30.09.09

These were the chairs after stripping (long and tedious sandpapering of paint and varnish) and priming with a double layer of primer on wood:

One of the proposed options was to be such ...

... cozy and cute chair for private tea parties with the ornament of the Baroque.
But suddenly we found the cats, not simple, but cats of German artist Rosina Wachtmeister. So, who would have passed these cats?.. :)
And then in a moment the fate of the chairs has been solved:
Now they are lively and indispensable for a family tea party and entertainment:)

My apprentities' works. Volume paints

Published at http://artdekor.blogspot.com/ 15.09.2009

What wonderful works were done by my apprentities at the masterclass:
Kitty made by the point technique (using brushes).

And the flowers were made by applying the volume paint with a palette knife.

The master-classes at the art-cafe "Antresol" Report

I don't stop to exclaim:
Everyone can learn to make stained glass paintings, even people who don't know how to draw. And the one who really can, but so far not even guess about it ...
... Or is afraid to admit it himself
To be convinced of that - just look at the works of beginners!

TC "Domosfera". Masterclass

May, 23 at TC "Domosfera" (Stolicnoie, 101) the cool team of craftsmen from Azure Art Studio (and I'm including) conducted the master classes on Venetian masks decoration.

During the master class we got into an unrivaled spirit of Italy, created by interior, a huge picture of Venice, and of course - by masks.

The master class was attended by over 100 people. The creative atmosphere was fascinated by all - visitors and artists! Anyone could find out details of how to work with the Italian artistic materials, as well as learn about the artistic techniques of decoupage, the two-phase craquelure, gilding by furniture wax, painting by the universal contours.

Masks

I love to experiment!

So you can see now the result of my experiments:

Decorated Plaster Masks

Here I was playing with volume structural pastes and found them new combinations to use.
By the way, next Saturday (May 30) at the "Antresol" art-cafe I will teach everyone who wish such a technique at my master class!
WELCOME!

And here due to I was bored I decided to apply the floristic technique "Terra" not to canvas, but to mask ...

Philosophizing

Published at http://artdekor.blogspot.com/ 25.05.2009

Once upon a time I sat and had nothing to do burning matches. Sometimes it can bring a lot of fun:)

And at one point I somehow came to the idea - to compare the matches with human life: each match burns uniquely. Some of them go out before they ignite, some burn more completely. And all the while matches take various forms: some doubles over, someone burns proudly and straight.

I decided to capture my thoughts:) and share with you!

There is no borders for decoration :)

To confirm these words here are two of my creations. I really can decorate anything!

The Blessed Virgin

I have long cherished the idea of the technical side of this picture. But the decision to portray the Virgin came as something spontaneous.
Maybe because it was Christmas Eve ...
